About Us
The mission of the Patty Boshell Pancreatic Cancer Foundation is to
advance research, education, awareness and patient advocacy related to
pancreatic cancer by:
- Increasing the funding to organizations dedicated to pancreas
cancer research with special emphasis on scientific discovery for
early detection and prevention.
- Identifying and funding organizations within the scientific and
charitable communities that dedicate significant resources to
pancreatic cancer patient assistance.
The primary aim of the Patty Boshell Pancreatic Cancer Foundation is
to raise and donate funds to organizations dedicated to pancreas cancer
research, education, awareness and patient advocacy.
It is our goal to become the premier pancreatic cancer fund raising
foundation and to distribute 5 million dollars over the next 10 years in
order to prevent the suffering and loss caused by this deadliest of all
cancers.
Board of Directors

Allan Boshell serves as the Chairman of the Patty
Boshell Pancreatic Cancer Foundation and is its co-founder. He is
currently Director for Business Development at Cleveland Clinic Florida.
Mr. Boshell is a seasoned business professional with experience running
complex companies and managing special projects.
He was formerly the Executive Director for CIGNA Healthcare, PCA, and
Coventry Health plans, three major insurance operations in Florida and
Louisiana and has provided vision and leadership as Vice President for
Marketing & Business Development to the nations third largest public
health system.
Mr. Boshell has planned, started and operated two of his own
companies in the health care arena. He is adept at organization, team
building, and managing projects requiring vision, planning, promotion
and follow through.
Lee Moore is a career entrepreneur and business owner.
He currently operates and provides advice to a chain of retail clothing
stores and is a successful real estate developer.
Marisela Palacios currently serves as Sales Director
for Florida Combined Life Insurance Company a Blue Cross of Florida
subsidiary. She has served as either Director or Vice President for
several companies with a career history encompassing responsibilities
within but not limited to sales management, business planning and
implementation, implementation of operational and administrative
systems, and specialized computer applications.
Diane Serianni Mrs.
Serianni is vice-chairman of the Foundation. Previously, she was Area
Director of the National MS Society in New York and Louisiana. She
organized fund raising events and ran the area offices in those
locations. She has also worked for the Broward County Economic
Development Council. While there she organized and oversaw special
events with up to 500 attendees. She also served as a volunteer with the
American Cancer Society.
Lynn Solomon Lynn Solomon is a Paralegal with the firm
of Benjamin P. Shenkman, P.A., Delray Beach, Florida. Lynn is also a
court-appointed Guardian for Palm Beach County Circuit Court and has
served as a Professional Guardian for incapacitated adults for the past
twelve years. Lynn is the Vice-President on the Board of Directors for
Delray South Shore Club-a Bluegreen Property, and has served on the
Board since 1997.
Prior to moving to Boca Raton, FL, Lynn was employed by the Ulster
County New York Department of Social Services as a Special Fraud
Investigator. Lynn served as 1st Vice President for the New York Welfare
Fraud Investigators Association for two years.
Jay White is a principal in one of Florida’s largest
independent insurance agencies. He spent 22 years with CIGNA HealthCare
as a National Account Executive, for Florida and the Caribbean. Jay is
active in the community where he has worked with several local charities
to raise awareness and funds.
He is on the board of the Miami Dolphins Foundation which raising
money to benefit local charities. His passion for finding a cure for
Pancreatic Cancer is a result of his mother dying from this devastating
disease in 1995.
Lisa Young is co-founder of
the Foundation and is a full time artist. She is a member/owner of the
Waterways Gallery in Stuart, Florida (read
Lisa's story). Prior to her career in art, Lisa had a successful
25-year career in sales and marketing. She first was with the Xerox
Corporation and later with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals in a senior sales
position. She is on the board of directors for the Martin Arts Council
in Martin County Florida and is a supporter of the Martin County Council
on Aging.
